Since high school, he has been fascinated by the medical recovery process, understanding the importance of this stage and being influenced by his personal experience as a performance athlete in the game of volleyball, as well as by observations made in his environment, where he encountered numerous injuries.
His areas of interest are the rehabilitation of neurological conditions (vertebral spinal cord injury, stroke) and orthopedic-traumatic (upper limb).

His passion, empathy and concern for the recovery of patients was shaped even during his time at the faculty, through his involvement in various long-term volunteer projects and activities, among which we mention the almost two-year volunteering at the Special High School for the Visually Impaired in Cluj Napoca and the one-year volunteering at the Clinical Recovery Hospital, Neurology department.
Specialized in orthopedic-traumatic and neurological rehabilitation in adults, he is eager to continue his development in this field, always looking for new learning opportunities.

Assistant Professor Dr. Oltean-Dan Daniel is a specialist in orthopedic-traumatology at the Orthopedics Clinic of SCJU Cluj-Napoca and an Assistant Professor in the discipline of Orthopedics-Traumatology at the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca.
In 2020, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree, defending the thesis titled: “Clinical and experimental research regarding the osteointegration of modern intramedullary implants covered with multisubstituted biomaterials”. To date, his research work has resulted in the publication of over 30 articles in specialty journals and over 50 abstracts presented at specialty congresses and conferences, for which he has received multiple awards.
Dr. Oltean-Dan Daniel is in continuous professional training, participating in national and international postgraduate congresses and courses in the field of orthopedics, traumatology, biomaterials, and medical rehabilitation. His areas of interest are upper limb surgery, shoulder, hip, knee arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and traumatic pathology.
Dr. Dragoș Apostu is an assistant professor at the Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca and a Specialist Physician in Orthopedics-Traumatology at the Clinical Recovery Hospital in Cluj-Napoca and Regina Maria Hospital Cluj-Napoca.
His main areas of interest are ankle and foot surgery, minimally invasive knee surgery, hip arthroplasty, and knee arthroplasty.
The goal is to provide modern treatments to orthopedic patients, allowing for the fastest and most complete recovery possible.
In 2021, he introduced, as a national premiere, a minimally invasive technique for the treatment of hallux valgus, with a multitude of advantages compared to traditional techniques. This technique allows this intervention to be performed on an outpatient basis, with no need to spend any night in the hospital.
